Fair refunds, clearly explained. This Refund Policy describes how ITGeeks ("we," "us," or "our"), operator of the Tazkarty platform, handles cancellations and refunds for bookings made through our services.
Refund eligibility depends on the product type, the fare or rate conditions you selected at checkout, and the supplier's own rules. Where airline, hotel, or rental partner rules are stricter than this policy, the supplier's rules prevail.
Overview
This policy covers all booking categories available on Tazkarty: flights, hotels, car rentals, and travel packages. It explains what is refundable, the deadlines that apply, and how refunds are calculated and paid out.
- Fare and rate conditions rule: Every booking displays its cancellation conditions before payment. The conditions you accept at checkout form part of your booking contract.
- Supplier rules apply: Tazkarty acts as an intermediary. Airlines, hotels, and car rental companies set their own cancellation rules, which we pass through to you transparently.
- Service fees: Tazkarty's own service fees are generally non-refundable (see Section 8), except where required by law or where we cancel a booking ourselves.
- Currency: Refunds are issued in the currency of the original payment. Exchange-rate differences at the time of refund are outside our control.
Tip: Look for the green "Free Cancellation" badge on search results. These options can be cancelled at no charge within the stated window — the safest choice if your plans might change.
Flight Refunds
Flight refund eligibility is determined by the fare class you purchase. The fare conditions are always displayed before you confirm payment.

- 24-hour free cancellation: Any flight booked through Tazkarty may be cancelled free of charge within 24 hours of booking, provided departure is at least 7 days away. This applies to all fare types, including non-refundable fares.
- Airline-imposed fees: After the 24-hour window, airlines may deduct a cancellation fee from your refund according to their fare rules. This fee is set by the airline, not by Tazkarty, and is itemized in your refund confirmation.
- Airline-cancelled flights: If the airline cancels your flight or makes a significant schedule change (more than 3 hours), you are entitled to a full refund or a free rebooking, regardless of fare type.
- Processing time: Approved flight refunds are returned to your original payment method within 7–14 business days after the airline releases the funds.
Note: Partially used tickets (e.g., outbound flown, return unused) are refunded at the airline's discretion and are typically valued as the difference between the fare paid and the applicable one-way fare.
Hotel Refunds
Hotel cancellation rules vary by property and by the rate plan you select. The exact deadline and any penalty are shown on the room card and in your booking confirmation.
- Free-cancellation rates: Most properties offer a free-cancellation deadline — commonly 24 to 72 hours before check-in, but set individually by each property. Cancel before the deadline and you receive a 100% refund.
- Late cancellation: Cancelling after the property's deadline typically incurs a penalty of the first night's charge, or the amount specified in the rate conditions.
- Non-refundable rates: Discounted "Non-Refundable" rates are charged in full at booking and are not eligible for refund if cancelled or modified, regardless of when the cancellation is made.
- No-show policy: If you fail to check in on your arrival date without cancelling ("no-show"), the property may charge the full stay or the no-show penalty stated in the rate conditions. No-shows on non-refundable rates receive no refund.
- Early departure: Leaving before your scheduled check-out date does not automatically entitle you to a refund for unused nights — this is at the property's discretion.
Good to know: Your free-cancellation deadline is always shown in your confirmation email and in your account under My Bookings — in the property's local time zone.
Car Rental Refunds
Car rental bookings made through Tazkarty can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time. Cancellations made closer to pick-up are subject to the fees below.

- Early returns: Returning the vehicle before the end of the rental period does not entitle you to a refund for unused days, unless the rental partner's terms state otherwise.
- Failed pick-up due to documents: If the rental desk refuses the vehicle because of missing documents (valid licence, required credit card, age requirements), this is treated as a no-show.
- Supplier cancellations: If the rental partner cannot provide the booked vehicle or an equivalent or better alternative, you receive a full refund including all fees.
Travel Package Refunds
Travel packages (combined flight + hotel + transfers and tours) follow a tiered refund schedule based on how far in advance of the departure date you cancel:

- Per-traveler cancellations: If only some travelers on a package cancel, the schedule above applies to the cancelling travelers' share, and the package price may be recalculated for the remaining travelers (e.g., single-occupancy supplements).
- Component exceptions: Where a package includes a strictly non-refundable component (such as a promotional airfare), that component may be excluded from the refundable amount. This is disclosed at booking.
- Force majeure: If we cancel a package due to events beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, government travel bans), you may choose between a full credit voucher or a refund of all recoverable amounts.
Recommendation: We strongly advise purchasing travel insurance with cancellation cover for packages — it can reimburse cancellation charges for covered reasons such as illness or visa refusal.
How to Request a Refund
Requesting a refund takes just a few minutes. Follow these steps:
- Step 1 — Open your booking: Sign in to your Tazkarty account and go to My Bookings, then select the booking you wish to cancel.
- Step 2 — Review the conditions: The cancellation panel shows your applicable refund amount and any fees in real time, before you confirm anything.
- Step 3 — Confirm cancellation: Click "Cancel & Request Refund" and confirm. You will receive an email with a refund reference number immediately.
- Step 4 — Track your refund: Follow the status (Submitted → Approved → Processed) from your account, or via the link in your confirmation email.

Processing Times & Methods
All refunds are issued to the original payment method used at booking. We cannot redirect refunds to a different card, wallet, or account, except where the original method is no longer available (e.g., expired card — contact support in that case).

- Approval vs. payout: The times above start once your refund is approved and, for flights, once the airline releases the funds to us. We notify you by email at each stage.
- Partial refunds: Where fees are deducted, your refund confirmation itemizes the original amount, each deduction, and the net amount refunded.
- Delays: If a refund has not arrived within the stated window, first check with your bank or wallet provider, then contact us with your refund reference number and we will trace it.
Non-Refundable Items
The following charges are non-refundable in all circumstances, even when the underlying booking qualifies for a refund:
Exception: If a booking fails on our side — payment captured but no confirmation issued — every charge including service fees is refunded in full, automatically.
